SustainabilityGreenhouse Gas Emissions Performance and Reduction Targets
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Reduction Targets
As a corporate group, the QUICK Group has been striving to take environmentally friendly actions, including efficient use of energy. To steadily advance our environmental improvement initiatives, we have established the following GHG emissions reduction targets and are committed to working with our suppliers to achieve them.
| Target scopes(*1) | Goal |
|---|---|
| Scope 1 + 2 | Aim for net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025 |
| Scope 1 + 2 + 3 | Aim for net-zero Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 2050 |
(*1)Scope: Classification method for GHG emissions generated by corporate activities.
Scope 1: Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources (e.g., fuel combustion).
Scope 2: Indirect emissions from the generation of purchased electricity, heat, or steam.
Scope 3: Emissions across the entire supply chain.
Toward Achieving Our Targets
To ensure the achievement of our 2050 targets, we have designated the five-year period from 2026 to 2030 as an “Actual Situation Assessment Period.” During this time, we will strive to accurately assess the current status by gathering specific information directly from our key suppliers, including their actual emissions figures, reduction targets, implementation plans, and progress toward achieving them. Following this, based on the assessment results, we will formulate a reduction plan through 2050, which we will then share and advance together with our suppliers.

Trends in Performance and Reduction Plans for GHG Emissions
The QUICK Group is committed to promoting activities to reduce GHG emissions. For example, we are using 100% electricity from renewable energy sources in the headquarters office building and shifting the systems to data centers and cloud services with superior environmental performance.
The following chart shows the trend in total Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions, and the reduction rate compared to FY 2019.
| FY2020 | FY2021 | FY2022 | FY2023 | FY2024 | FY2025 Target(*3) | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GHG emissions (Scope 1 and 2) reduction rate compared with FY2019 | -25.9% | -32.2% | -67.3% | -74.2% | -84.2% | -100% |
(*3)Assumes that residual emissions, after all practical GHG reduction efforts have been made, will be compensated for through carbon offsetting.
Contribution to the Expansion of Sustainable Finance
The QUICK Group regards climate change as a materiality in management. We are committed to taking environmentally friendly corporate actions. At the same time, as an information vendor, we provide accurate information and solutions to promote the reduction of environmental burdens. Through these actions, we will contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society and the expansion of sustainable finance.
Endorsement of TCFD Recommendations
The Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) was established in 2015 by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) to examine climate-related information disclosures and how financial institutions should respond to them.
On October 25, 2021, QUICK Corp. announced its endorsement of TCFD recommendations.
